Air Heads

I had the day off Wednesday so Tyler and I decided we should make it a father/son outing. Ty finished work at the swimming pool around noon and then we headed to Spokane. First we stopped in to see Rick Tolman who was at Gonzaga University attending a Basketball Camp. It was a short visit but was worth the trip even if we didn't do anything else.... but.... we didn't stop there. We went and saw the movie "Evan Almighty". It was a good flick but I was a little bit preoccupied knowing that as soon as we left the showhouse we would go flying. . .And that we did!
We drove to Cheney to meet up with our flight instructor, Denny Reed. We arrived at 6:15 in the evening and didn't quit until the "sun" did. My "son" didn't want to quit, and neither did his dad. The air was perfectly calm and the temperature was around 70 degrees. We flew over the Palouse for miles and saw all kinds of wildlife. Our average airspeed was about 40, but there were times we went nearly 100.
We made it home about 11 o'clock that night and dreamt of doing it all over again. This experience will be added to my "top ten" list.

wow! That's just amazing.....don't know if I'd have the guts, but it sure looks fun looking at pictures of you doing it! Glad you got to see Rick--he's coming over today to do laundry :)
ps--Kaelynn, if you read this, for some reason I can't get to your blog anymore. It says only invited readers can read it and I'm not invite *sniff* ;)

Great Pictures Craig! I've got plenty of guts, but that is because I would rather sit on the couch and eat potato chips rather than fly 100 mph in the open air. Glad you had a good time. I'm a little disappointed that you had a top 10 day without me.

I think it was John Denver who liked flying those planes also. It does look fun.

Fabulous! I am so proud of you for living your dream. I hope eating caramel apples with gummi fish is in your top 10 too:) I know it is one of mine.
Mistie - so sorry - you are invited! I had some mess ups. Long story - I will tell you later.
Craig - can't wait to see you....we are counting down the days.
