Letter from Elder Morrison
well, this week we did blitzes. we blitzed our area and Dardenne Creek area.
we did well, at least in our area. we now have a baptismal date with ryan, who is the RLDS member. we're really excited about that, and he's really proactive in making changes in his life so that he can be a part of the true church. things are going really well with him.
thanks for the package. its starting to get pretty chilly over here. thanks for the treats and such too. the cd's are good. thank you.
zone conference is this week (ours is tomorrow) and i hear from other missionaries, namely elder andersOn that we're the number one mission in the states right now with baptisms from tracting, and we're leading the mid-west with baptisms. also, we're the number one mission over our alotted miles for the year. he said that if you take the total number of miles over, and divided it equally among the number of cars, each is over by like 1200 for the year, AND ITS ONLY OCTOBER!!!
pretty crazy.
next week for p-day we might be heading into the city, maybe to the zoo or to the arch. we're not sure yet.
one fun thing we did...when we did our blitz for dardenne creek, we had to stay in the st. charles apartment. we there are 6 of us, and we played
2-on-2 soccer with a little nerf basketball. we set up boundaries for goals, and then there were no out of bounds, everywhere was in play. we'd play first one to 2, and then loser switches out with the other team. i was with elder barlow.
well, i guess that's about all for this week. hope you're all doing well, and i really love the letters i've been getting. love you all,
elder morrison

Chiefs 3 Saskatoon 2
The Morrison & Grigg families went to Spokane last night to watch the Chiefs play hockey against the Saskatoon Blades. We went to Dick's Burgers for a quick bite to eat before the game. Fun was had by all.
Boomer the Bear needed some help celebrating his birthday... Creesh & Kevakin were glad to help.

Letter from Elder Morrison
so my companion is Elder Smith. He's really cool. he's from rexburg (actually sugar city). he's been out just shy of a year now. can you believe that it's already been 5 months (as of tuesday) since i entered the MTC? that's crazy. i cant believe it's been that long already. our area is starting to pick up a bit. we've contacted a former investigator who is currently in the Reorganized Church. he's pretty solid though. probly a 'tism comin our way. we also have a couple of unmarried couples we're working with. slowly, but surely the area is starting to bloom. you wanted an experience, so here ya go. yesterday we did a blitz in St. Charles. a blitz is where the whole district works in their area for the day. i went with Elder Cochran to an appointment with an investigator that lives with his girlfriend who is a less active member. we didnt really know what to teach. we were going off the Spirit. so we get talking about coming to church, and the girl, Heather, said that she needed to come back to church. then she told us that music really influences her, and that it seems that every time she goes to church she hears one hymn, but couldnt remember the name of the hymn. Elder Cochran said to me, "you have a hymnbook, dont you?". i said, "yeah, i do" and handed it to Heather. she found it, and it was "I Stand All Amazed", sweet song. then the guy we took over there was like, "well, do you wanna sing it?". we were a little hesitant, but said, "alright, we could do that". so then we sang it, and after the first line, you could just feel the Spirit enter the room, and totally envelop everyone. it was the strongest i've felt the spirit in a looooong time. so sweet. so there's an experience for ya. today we went and played basketball in Frontenac and then ate at Buffalo Wild Wings. they had really good boneless wings, and i happened to see that the Blues won against the Blackhawks 3-1 today. i hear they're doing pretty well this year.this bike area is starting to take a toll on my knees. i can feel it everytime we get on the bikes. its starting to hurt the work a little bit, but you can only do as much as you can right? i told the mission president about it in a my weekly letter. i didnt ask for a car or anything, but i just let him know about it. thought i'd let you guys know too.just on a random note, if you're ever in spokane or wherever we got my shirts, if you could grab a long sleever x-long, size 18 i think. that'd be great. not needed right away, but if you're in the neighborhood.well, i suppose that's really all. cant wait to get your package.love you all, elder morrison

Happy Halloween
Kevakin interrupted the BSU game to let me know that he was "clotheslined" by the inflatable pumpkin. The mark on his forehead is actually a rope burn from the pumpkin's tie down string. After a short consultation, he was back outside playing football. Creesh was right when she said "oooooo that will leave a mark".
BSU 69 NEVADA 67
BSU has not lost a WAC football game at home. Tonight just about changed that stat. After 4 Overtimes The defense won the game.
1. I can't believe it was that close.
2. I can't believe that after the way the defense played the game, that the defense actually won it.
3. Nevada has not won a game all year.
4. Way to take time off BSU fan's lives.
5. Go BSU !

Letter from Elder Morrison
Transfers yesterday.
Elder Durham is gone now, and i'm still in st. peters. my new companion is Elder Smith, from Rexburg. he's kinda femmie though. oh, well, i suppose i can live with it. the transfer meeting was huge. all but 6 companionships were changed. it was pretty crazy.
today we went and played roller hockey in Warrenton again. i played goalie again. we also played some flag football. too bad Alex couldnt be there. he got transferred to what we like to call "outer darkness". it's a little place called poplar bluff, and is about as close an area as the mission has to Arkansas. so they're pretty far south.
sorry, there arent really any good experiences to be shared at the moment. i cant really think of anything that's happened that's of even the smallest interest. we just keep truckin' along. being only on bikes is really starting to annoy me, but i'm doing ok.
haha, the guy sitting next to me right now is listening to heavy metal in headphones, and he has no problem singing a little here and there and banging his head. so that's kinda funny.
well, maybe you didnt get my thing last time, but i'm gonna be needing my coat here pretty soon. right now its only about 60, which means here in a week or so it could drop lower than that. with the coat, can you send me some of the talks on cd that i have? like 'what i wish i knew before my mission' and stuff. they should be in my cd's, wherever those ended up. tic-tacs would be good too.
i hope you got my package. if not, there's one on the way. its basically all my mail, so you can store that away, but there's some other stuff in there. you can listen to the tape. that covers the MTC and Chesterfield. the singing (terrible singing, i might add) is when me and Elder Andersen performed in sacrament meeting. it started off bad, and we just ended up bombing it. i played the piano.
well, that's about all from here in St. Pete's. love you all, and am happy to hear from home.

What to do with Hailey...Another post by Tyler
My mom is outta town this weekend...and dad has had a heck of a weekend at work. Today we start cleaning the house while dad is at work and I am thinking that I get a break from this "Hot Buttered Runs" when all of a sudden, I hear it. Hailey has it on her ipod and is just a listening away...what to do...what to do.
I think that my dad is rubbin off on the lil ones...

P-day in Missouri (a letter from kenz)
so another transfer is almost over. transfer calls will be coming up here on sunday night, and transfers will happen on wednesday. we're really uncertain about what will happen in the district, but we'll find out in a few days. Elder Durham got a call this morning with approval to go home a transfer (6 weeks) early for school,so he'll be going home in 3 months. if he doesnt get transferred this time, then he'll either stay in st. peters till he dies or have just a 6 week area, which wouldnt be very productive. it's gonna be a big transfer, with like 12 going home and 16 coming out. you gotta have 16 trainers. we'll see what the week brings. i finally got my library card today, so that was nice.
we have an Elder in our district from Tonga, Elder Niupalau. today, he cooked a full pig in the ground, since it's p-day. that was pretty cool, except it didnt quite get done all the way, so it was kinda soft. it was pretty fun to go out there to do that at the home they're living in with members. we played a good game of RISK. no word on us moving in with members as of yet.
investigator pool is still really low, and none of them are really progressing right now. tonight we have a few callbacks so that will hopefully open up our teaching pool some more.
i'm really jealous of you all, with your good weather. it was like 90 here today...not much fun for the month of October. but just in case, you probably ought to send me my coat, and the other stuff ou might have kept at home. also if you find a pair of black hobo gloves (the ones with the fold-over mitten), i hear those can be pretty handy in the wintertime.
well, i guess that's about all that's going on. i appreciate the prayers and words of encouragement. hope you're all doing well and that life's treating you good.
love you,
Elder Morrison
