Letter from Elder Morrison

well, sounds like the trip to oakley was fun. for new years we just worked, really. we did have a district meeting, which we made a couple sweet videos, maybe i can send those to you. we went to a function at the church for a little bit, but we got a referral there. we set up a time to meet with her, and taught her this last week about the restoration. the greatest part about this story to date is that she got up (yes, a nonmember) in sacrament meeting and bore her testimony that the church is true. how awesome is that? that's way solid. we also received 2 other referrals this week, and we taught them the restoration as well. they are 16 and 12 years old, both girls. its a really good situation with fellowshippers and everything. we had 3 people confirmed yesterday, which i gave one, Dennis. you saw a picture of him and the other kids that we baptized. its been a pretty crazy week with transfers and all. things are ok so far, but my new comp is pretty crazy. he reminds me a lot of stucki. Lexi, the 10 year old member here doesnt like him much, and she's started to like me a lot more now that anglesey is gone. its just kinda the way it goes. this monday p-day is still throwing me off. in fact, a member works at the library an they were like 'this isnt p-day' and we were like, 'yeah, it is'. kinda different. we helped an elderly couple move some things this morning, before p-day technically started. i did get the b-day package. thanks so much. those are some toasty socks, and i like them a lot. the cd is really great too. you should have copied it before, but oh well, your loss. still no sign of the 12 days package. maybe sometime.
weather has been crazy this week.it hit 75 yesterday, yes in january. it was 60's for my birthday. in fact right now we're in shorts and t-shirts because its so warm.
as far as the work goes, all of those referrals will have baptismal dates this week, and so we'll probably baptize 3 this transfer, if something else doesnt pop up. we're working with and 18 year old girl who is pregnant and a high school dropout. hopefully we can get her to understand how important our message is.
well, i'm kinda out of things to say now. sorry.
love you all and miss you. next week i'll be 3 days from 8 months. crazy.
stay close to the Lord,
Elder Morrison
