Letter from Elder Morrison

hey fam.this week has been an interesting one. things havent gone the best lately. investigators are not coming to church, so we've had to push back 2 of our 3 dates so far. probably will have to do the same with the other lady. not only are they not coming to church, but some of them we can only meet once a week, and one of them we havent met for 2-3 weeks. not good. we hopefully will have a better week this time around. we had our zone conference last week. it was really good. i got to see elder smith again, which was fun. Still struggling a bit with Elder Heath. i got in the habit of calling him "Herb", coming from a young member not being able to remember his name. he got really mad at me, so i'm trying really hard not to call him herb anymore. i'm just hitting a rough spot, that's all. i really look forward to district meetings and stuff so that i can get away for even just a few minutes with some other missionaries. i cant remember if i told you, but Elder Whitmore from the MTC is our district leader now. we have a great district, for the most part. saturday we had the annual Chili cook-off/ cookie bake-off. it was a fun event and several members invited friends that came, which was a good missionary experience for them. it was also a very non-threatening way to invite people to get involved with the church. we'll see what happens with some of these people.
sounds like everyone got to their hockey tourneys/games while you went to HBR. sounds like you had an enjoyable time too. that is pretty funny that Lucas didnt get to play, but ty did.
i hope creesh does well with her dealio. tune-ups are always good. sometimes i wish missionaries could just get a tune-up and keep going.
as for stucki, i dont know anything more about him. he never wrote me back after the few letters/emails i sent him. whatever, it's his life. if he wants to throw it away i cant stop him, apparently.
ty, you dont know how much i envy you for being able to have a guitar to play. i have my little keyboard, but it is nothing like a guitar, or a full piano. i really miss being able to just sit down and play a little guitar. get good, and we'll jam when i get home.
yes, i am becoming friends with some of the youth here. they seem to like me, but arent too fond of elder heath. they tell me stuff like that. but they're a good group of kids. i'm really glad i didnt grow up in a place like this with so little youth that are LDS and so spread out. it would be very difficult. they are like family and so to date each other is weird to them. yesterday we went to a member's house for a birthday party/dinner/lesson. it was really fun. we were over there from 4-9. maybe not the best use of time ever, but it was fun. i needed to have a release of some sort for the day. we've been starting to play basketball with the youth every now and then. helps us develop a relationship of trust. hopefully they'll start bringing non-members. this week we also played basketball in the park. it was about 60 and people were outiside all over. there were some kids playing in the park, and so we stopped, took things out of our pockets, and then played basketball in a white shirt and tie. it was pretty fun, although my feet and legs, and knees were killing me afterward, especially with Skechers thick boot-shoes.
well, that's about all for this week. love you all, and hope you're doing well.
Elder morrison
