Hey family!
this week has been so great! the time is now flying by. kale left today and i got to see him yesterday. that. im already missin that fool.
first lets get down to the nitty gritty.
Battery charger. i did notice i had the wrong one and i wll be mailing that today. thanks for sending me the sweats and sweatshirt. they have been of great help. wasnt expectin it to be so cold here.
anyways my companions name is Elder Sloan from Albuquerque NM. he is awesome and we get along and teach well together. we started leaning and teaching the second lesson and it hasnt been as easy as the first. but we still teach with the spirit and continue to learn the best ways to invite it.
YOU ARE GOING TO THE BYU GAME!!!! nice!!! im sure i will be able to hear the game. most of the elders heard the last game. me and my comp didnt hear it because we were inside most of the time. so there is this elder in my district that is from st. louis. he drives me crazy anyways but he decided he needed to throw out his opinion on Boise State and how they were a crapy team. yeah i argued with him and put him in his place.
wednesday i went on splits with the zone leaders to help them teach the new districts. i went with elder mcconkie and tought the district next door to me. one elder, elder brown, is from othello! he is pretty cool. he is serving in the provo, ut mission. my response was that blows but he said he was super excited that it wasnt out of the country.
at the fireside sunday they told us of the process of wich they pick where we go on our missions. all it is is a big plasma screen tv with your face on it, and by true revelation, we go where we are called. the firesides and devotionals have been so great. we are probably going to hear from one of the 12 on thanksgiving. i asked sister stroud our teacher, if tommy was coming. she seemed pretty offended that i would use a nickname like that. oh well. some people. im sure she would freek if i blessed her with holy water.
cresh, i did find your letter. thank you.
mom and dad thanks for the updates throughout the week, dear elder rocks.
congrats kenz! hope every thing works out. however i never did get your cookies in the mail. raise your hand if your bother's a homo! hahah jk so the food, dad they have mashed potatoes like 3 times a week and its is bomb!!!! they are real good. the food must do something to everyone because 2 days into the mtc, people find farting a game, and not an irritant. its driving me crazy, just reminds me of when kenz would bust just to make me mad.
dad would be in heavin here though because ever corner in every building has hand sanitizers. im sure my hands have never been so clean.
i got letters from christy's family along with a box of awesome candy. one of them being a buzz lightyear pez. i use it frequently. i also got a letter\picture from abby and liza. that made me happy too. all of the letters i have gotten from everyone rock my world every day.
ok i need to clear some things up with the whole sister christiansen deal. Elder McConkie told us she came in the same day and so we had this big conspiracy about who the real sister smart was. this last week, Sister Smart rolled in, with the name tag, Sister Smart. it was fun while it lasted but can you believe im in the MTC with SISTER SMART! pretty nuts. we have made eye contact i might add ;)
sorry these letters are so choppy. i write things as they come to my mind.
I love you Mom, Dad, Kenz, Hailey, Coltin, and now Julie.
Mom and Dad, Thank you so much for raising me up in this church. I dont know if i could have made the choice to be here not being raised in the church. Mom and Dad, I love you with all of my heart, and miss you every day and night. Remember that everything happens for a reason, trials included, and we need to pray to our Heavenly Father for help and to thank him.
We leave the mtc dec. 1st. i cant wait to call you,
Much Love,
Elder Morrison
