well, sounds like another busy week. it also sounds like the missionaries still like our house. i'm pretty excited to come home and see it from the other side. maybe i'll have to do splits with them and ty. it would be good practice for ty.
this week, we had a baptism. marty robinson got baptized on saturday, and he got the aaronic priesthood yesteday. it was great, and he will baptize his youngest daughter this upcoming saturday, which we will go to as well. it's really great to see how much the gospel can change someone for the better in just a short amount of time. he has definitely changed, not that he was bad before, but now he just has the glow of a member of the church. i think you know what that is like.
speaking of pulling out trees, we helped brother robinson pull a tree stump out this week. it's amazing how thick the roots get. it took us about 3 hours to get out. we just used shovels and an axe. then we had dinner with them. they are a great family, and kinda remind me of home. i also noticed on their wall was a big board of their son's mission, and where he served, and his companions, and all that, along with random pictures. are you an obsessive mother like that, mom? lol. i'm not expecting it by any means, but with your love of scrapbooking and whatnot, i wouldnt put it past you.
i'm completely fine being roommates with ty. i've had a lot of trials on the mission involving companions, that me and ty will do just fine. plus, we dont have to spend 24 hours a day together. its always better when you can have alone time. i'm really looking forward to that.
as for my bike, i'll probably ship it home just before i leave, like the day or 2 before transfers. so like the 18th or 19th. that way i can still use it for the time we dont have a car. we actually lose the car a week before transfers, so i have to be on bike my last week. i'm trying to come home in one suitcase, so i'll be de-junking those last couple days. maybe i'll put some stuff in with the bike. that way, it will be a lighter load. i'll be throwing away most of my (kinda) white shirts and socks and other things that are 2 years old and need to be trashed. that will save a lot of room.
as for isoa coming to see me in SLC, i dont know how that all works. if it's possible, it'd be fine with me. i think lex and penni will be there to pick up alex. i dont know. i dont know if i'm allowed to leave the boarding area or what during that time. i dont know how that all works. but if it's possible, i'm game. i'd love to see them. (and anyone else that may be in the area).
dad, i'm glad you have the talent of being concise in your words, but when you tell me that you flew a helicopter...what the heck does that mean? did you get an RC helicopter or what? also, there was a dance that ty went to?
you need to post things on the blog so i know what's going on. or at least give me alittle background.
so you didnt answer my question of when church is so i can call you on mother's day. pretty sure there's only one p-day in between now and then, so i need to know when i can call you to say "yep, still planning on coming home next week..." lol.
well, i guess that's really all that's happening here. cant wait to be home in 3 1/2 weeks (24 days). Love you!
